Toy?

Hey,

Would anyone recommend this toy for their lovebird?





It's the 'Super Bird Creations Mini XMAS Tree' and by recommended birds it states: budgies/cockatiels/lovebirds.
The dimensions are 5 x 18 x 5 cm which is 1.97 x 7 x 1.97 inch I think? (not sure about the inches though).

I like the look of the toy but I'm afraid the acryl parts are way too flimsy for Whiskey and that it might be more well suited for a budgie?

It kinda depends on your bird; as an example I had one Quaker who LOVES those types of things and would be totally fine with it. Another Quaker would snap them off so fast

The links are pretty easy to break, but they usually break cleanly. The pony beads on them my Hahns loved to snap in half!

You could get it an monitor how she plays and remove the links, but if you don't like the idea of her snapping plastic I would pass on this one (or tie on some wooden beads instead!)

I have had toys with those before. When they chew on the plastic links, remove them or they will do that thing where little bits come off (I hope that makes sense).
The beads are fine.
You could always remove the plastic links, then attach the beads using paper rope

I think I'll let this one go for Whiskey and maybe gift it to my mom's budgie
