Since when do Tarantulas get posted first...
After all this is a Fourm for us "Avians" right!!
After thoughtful consideration "myself" Bentley, and my female companion "Isabelle", have forgiven our caregiver known as Just-passn-thru for her oversight in this matter.
She will now post pictures of us, mind you that was an oversight on her part.
Best Regards,
Bentley and Isabelle 20251122_160927.jpg 20251122_161019.jpg 20251122_161120.jpg 20251122_161208.jpg 20251122_161311.jpg 20251122_161415.jpg 20251122_161421.jpg

Absolutely gorgeous!! :heart::heart:

Though I can imagine the noise level when they want to be heard or noticed. Some 40 years ago we had a goffin too for a short time and at 5 am every single day, he let out this raunchy scream/call that i swear woke up the neighborhood. Thankfully it was only the once a day otherwise he was quiet as a mouse. Yep stinking to the smaller birds though they can be worse at times as proven by bailey when he wants his way. :rofl:

Oh yes! My dear Bentley
the Sentry/Alarmist
He has different loud ear wrenching
calls that he uses for specific scenarios.
But mostly it's the morning and evening time calls .
Normal bird stuff
One example!
:omg::extremeanger:
The "Beaky stinker" has a particularly annoying one he starts-up with the dogs, going into a full blown pack howling contest, that he must be the loudest sounding screeching car brakes. He gets my attention by doing this horrendous/embarrassing noise,
has me darting around like a crazy person, having to close all doors and windows to buffer the racket.
At that point returning to the aforementioned outbursts, I have to rise above the chaos screaming...
THAT'S IT ENOUGH STOP.!!!
In an instant all is quite once again.
Pretty sure my neighbors assume that I'm a glutton for punishment.

I'm in my late 60s now, and my mum is in her early 90's
We both still have over 50 birds each - down on our younger days.
These days I go over and help her some of the time with hers, but she still lives (mostly) independently.
Good genes go a long way - for people and birds alike.

That's amazing, you must have been a very young child.
My bad, or you weren't even born yet?
I don't want to make you any older or younger. Not sure about that.
Either way that's wonderful conversation efforts you're father contributed to the Spieces.

I was happy though many considered me an odd child - being the one who removed the spiders from the classrooms - while others screamed.
Funnily - my daughter became the spider remover for the block of flats she lived in a while back - it's definately in the genes.
