Also I would contact the Vet service whos answering service treated you like that. An answering service is basicly a phone operator service or clerical person who is not affiliated with the clinic but is contracted for by the clinic. This person probably handles calls for several Vet clinics or Physicians. (When I was working ER one night I called 4 different DRs at 4 different phone numbers and spoke to the same person for all 4 calls. They all used the same answering service.) The attitude of the operator at the answering service may not reflect the attitude of the Vets and they need to know how the call was handled. If they truely care about the aninals the answering service will be contacted by the Vet and different instructions will be given to them.
Sometimes they're only meant to stay in our lives a short time.I'm so very sorry and if you need someone to talk to we're all here. Try focusing on that great bond you two shared.
I am so very sorry for your loss of your beautiful baby, and for the way the answering service for the vet treated you under the circumstances. Something very very similar happened to me only a month ago, with my Scotty, a BCC. I had him for 11 days and he passed from a heart attack. It was so sudden and such a shock, and I miss him every day. Take comfort in the fact that Jada spent her last days on this earth happy because she was with you. You will meet again, someday, at the Rainbow Bridge. I am sure she will be waiting for you there
