Shot a series of my wife, using a single strobe. This is the best result.

This is the setup...

A single Westcott FJ400, with a 2x3 softbox. The lower edge of the box was about nose level on my wife, who was sitting on the couch. Then it was turned away from her. The entire wall opposite the couch is glass. I could close those to cut down on ambient light.

What do you think?

Whatever you did... it's a beautiful portrait of her. I like the lighting on her very much!

Love the photo; she look like a nice person! She has a really neat looking wedding band too.

I posted this photo on a photography forum, where we critique work. One of the guys decided to show me how to improve it. He proceeded to photoshop out anything he saw as a flaw. She ended up looking like a department store mannequin.

Photoshop is not always the answer.

I'd not like someone doing that to someone I loved, photography forum or not. :(
