I've finally found a place that I feel comfortable looking after Spearmint (and my 2 hermit crabs), but Spearmint has never left home before aside from going to the vets. He's usually pretty quick to warm up to people if they've got food. Should I ask to come in a week before and do short sessions with Spearmint and them? I'm not sure how he'd do if I left him there for 2 days, he's a very skittish bird sometimes as i've not desensitised him (but am working on it). Any advice or tips are greatly appreciated :)

I think if they will allow it, spending time together with him at this boarding place would be a great idea. He would know that you think it's an OK place to be, and if he is given lots of positive attention by the staff and you while there, it would help reinforce that he has no reason to be afraid.
