This maybe a dumb question, but

is it ok, is it safe to put my Rabbit Air close to Mr. Peepers’ cage? I figure it is, but I had better ask. I suspect the dust is becoming a problem for me. Would it be ok to plug the machine into a power strip where it is the only thing plugged in? Electrical outlets are minimal.

Also, major miracle, Wasabi will now (mostly) step up very gentlemanly on my toweled arm - except for a couple times when he dropped the polite act and reverted to character and I bled. :naughty:

I don’t really have air related things (I have one budgie).

I have my hepa filter very close to Burts cage and that is where it has been the whole time I have had him. The air is not directed on the cage but it is directed to go past the side of the cage. In the warm weather I do allow the breeze from the air filter to blow through one side of the cage so Burt can choose to sit in the moving air stream if he wants to.

I do not see any reason for it to be a problem being close to the cage as long as your birds cant get at the cords (I am sure you already know all that and have also thought of it).

If your power strip thing is in good working order it should be fine- all ours have a safety cut out switch on them for any incorrect power surges or supply. They are not as safe as plugging straight into the outlet but they are safe enough in most cases.

Edit: I forgot to say... Good job Wasabi!! Congratulations :)

Oh Wasabi! I see you are mellowing with age. You certainly have a lot to make up to your Mom for - she's an angel.
