Some interesting history on the word Galah

I think Aussies have managed to link many of our native animals names to weird human behaviours. Lol.

Dopey people for example often get called (affectionately) Wombat or Wallaby, crazy or loud people will get called Galahs....... it’s kinda like silly people often get called goose.
