Apparently there was a canary on the Titanic!

He (or she) got off the Titanic at the first stop at Cherbourg, France. Mr. Meanwell paid 25 cents to take him (or her) across the channel.

Interesting book. 882 1/2 amazing answers to your questions about the Titanic by Hugh Brewster and Laurie Coulter

It says EVERYTHING!

If you like anything about the Titanic, buy the book. I just googled and used copies are ridiculously cheap and everywhere.

It was a yard sale book I bought for the grandsons.... guess who is reading it though?

I've found several good books at yard sales.

I'm definitely going to look it up. Thanks!
I've always wished that someone would make a detailed and verified book about all the animals that were on Titanic and who really survived and who didn't. I know it was proven that a Pekinese survived but I remember reading that supposedly a woman refused to leave without her Newfoundland dog and they were found frozen in the water with her arms around his neck but some sites say that's a myth so.. I'm sure we will probably never know 100% because considering all that was happening the poor animals would have taken a back seat during this horrible tragedy.

@April

The name of the book is also the length of the boat

It lists various dogs and who had them
