The place where dead eagles are given a new life
Colorado's National Eagle Repository is the only one of its kind in the world.

I was truly shocked at the wait list for the remains and that there is such a high demand. I'm glad the eagle is held in such high respect by the tribal nations but still shocked there are so many waiting to receive any part of a deceased eagle. Even more dismayed at how many die. For you Lady Jane... a beautiful eagle my husband photographed....I think I would have a hard time working where they are so many dead Eagles even though the purpose is to reserve and protect the remains and pass on to those tribes. Its got to be better than a burial or cremation.
Omgosh. Those are just gorgeous. The most incredible thing to see, I think; birds in the wild, especially these magnificent eagles. Love seeing those beautiful long feathers. Thanks so much for sharing!!I was truly shocked at the wait list for the remains and that there is such a high demand. How often do you catch an eagle getting ready to bathe?

He is so dedicated to going out to look for birds... a nice clean hobby I fully support, sure keeps him out of trouble! He has more opportunity to get closer to other species. It's a shame we don't have more variety here.Andrea those photos are magnificent!!! prettiest I have ever seen.
