Had to visit the little eagles today. They are getting more adult feathers every day. Both are spending more time at the edge of the nest hanging their heads over to look at the world. I haven't seen them eating but I assume mom is still feeding them. I'll try to get a look later to see if they are grabbing any bites on their own yet.

Oh aren't they just adorable. We have a few eagles around our property. There's a nest straight out back. But there's only one chick.

I am not meant to see the babies! :unsure1: I saw part of a fuzzy butt once. Every other time I've tried it's been night or raining or mom was over him for some reason or other. This time I feel like I'm being warned not to come back!

Thank you to everyone who posted baby pics for those of us with poor timing! :thanks:

Oh my - N22 was practice flapping a couple of minutes ago. Are they going to fledge and give us all heart attacks again?

Sampson is a good daddy. N22 ( pig bird) had filled his tummy and N23 was eating what was left. But he almost pushed the food over the edge of the nest. Samson jumped right down and retrieved it and fed N23 - guess what N22 decided he wanted more, but dad didn't give him any. One for N23.

They just got fed and now are snacking on the leftovers. I see them stretching their wings more and walking around. I wonder at what age will they get the white head and tail feathers? This is such a great diversion for me from the coronavirus stuff.
