the eagle is hatching!

I watched today as Jules flew up to a branch and then over to another one. She then went back to the nest to visit her brother. The commentary says that they are all waiting for Romy to give it a try and join her on the branch. He's been flapping his wings getting ready. Maybe today! Soon mom and dad will be teaching them to hunt.

Its nice to see her perched up there. Its just a short hop, flap to get there. In case you wondered about the cameras, there's one in the pic.

Ahhh, the empty nest! I saw them just after they took their first fly and were perched just above the nest. So funny to see what looks like an adult eagle but with no white on it!
