A while back a local bird rescue center came up with the idea to make a calendar for 2014 and sell it to raise money for the rescue center. They asked us supporters for bird photos and I submitted a few. And voila! Tequila is Mr. November 2014

Probably should've been Tequilo. We got her as a girl, a DNA test told us he is a he. And Tequilo does't quite sound right, so Tequila stayed. it wasn't meant to be his name, but I blurted out when I saw him 'oh what a cute Tequila Sunrise'. And the name just jammed any further name ideas. Once it was spoken it was as though we couldn't come up with any other name. He has a nickname he answers too: Fooster Badooster. Don't ask how that name came about. It sounds better in Danish, btw

Yes, he has a really warm yellow hue and bright red face. He is really my little ray of sunshine and I love him to bits. I'm so happy that they chose this pic for the calendar.

I call my girly Tequila all sorts of nicknames.. the most obvious being "Tequi"
