Pictures Swing/Perch

i repurposed a t-stand to make this hanging perch. I used ss chain and threaded hemp through it to reduce the chance of injury. Next, I will wrap it with vet wrap to prevent toes or beaks from being caught. Annie, Daff, and Harry have all used it, with close supervision. It's got the knotted blue rope draped over it.

That looks really cool! Sounds like it's a hit! Do your SS chains and links ever rust outside? I bought some supposedly SS chains and they are badly rusted. I guess it depends on the quality of the SS. In the end I got thick plastic chain instead.

The chains haven't, but some ss quick links have. Anything rusty here gets pitched. I have several birds that destroy heavy plastic chain, so I'm not sure about that, but it's an option.

It's a tee stand removed from the base with stainless steel screw eyes at the bottom and each end of the tee connected with ss chains and quick links. I'll try to get another picture soon.

Burts favorite perches for the day time are the long ones I have suspended from the cage top.....he sits and swings them side to side and back and forth lol.

I DIYed the swing perch, not the aviary. It's a chicken coop from TSC.

Daff only does when Annie gets fed up with her antics and knocks her off something. She almost immediately climbs or flies back up. No terrestrial macaws here.
