I recent discovered that my local supermarket sells 100 straws for 50cents!!! :shocked2:
Before, I would buy 10 straws for 75cents. My birds are going to have so much fun with them :bliss:

Ohh they look so fun! I have to check my area for them!
My birds love them and normally it gets quite expensive, but this is waaaay better.

I know they are quite cheap in the UK too, but until now I only saw the smaller packs where I live. I wish there were more colours, but I´m very very happy anyway :)

Cut into thirds for foraging trays. Pierce halves or whole straws and put onto kebab skewers. Could maybe thread some through wicker balls/items. Threads through cage bars. Tonnes of ideas.
Gisli hangs out on my knee most nights playing with random toys, he´ll love just playing with a straw, I know it!
I saw your post about the foraging idea, stuffing treats in some straws, I really like that and will defo give it a go too! :)
What else... :hmmm:

@Wardy i thought of another, took the pic either last night or night before before bed, I can't remember. I shoved the straws through the boing I made Sydney,
Just a silly little idea but they like it ,

That really is a steal. I don't know if our local grocery store carries paper straws but I can bet if they do, they are probably well over $3./pk. I don't like drinking through paper straws.

Me either. I have SS ones and some turtle saver ones that are shorter for cocktails :) My mum uses paper straws lol It´s the most ridiculous thing.

By knotting cotton teeshirt yarn onto a SS wire. I have decided not to buy more cotton perches and boing (pre-made) because my birds rip them to shreds in minutes.

What a nice idea & price. Might be too easy to shred for Penny. I make her her own rolled up toys out of strips cut from cardboard boxes.
