And you can pack clean paper towels to take with you so you can throw the poopy ones away and put in clean for the ride home.

Instead of a regular towel, use a bunch of layered paper towels in the carrier bottom. They can pull strings loose from hand towels and strangle themselves or get them wrapped around toes or feet.
Cornell uses these towels that are soft, but not stringy. I'll take your advice, and pack a towel that I have from them, but also bring extra paper towels. :)

My beautiful girl is so busy and active, it's hard to believe she has an egg inside. :)

Another thing:
The doc thinks that the egg already had a shell on Thursday, but yesterday the egg dropped lower. Opinions please!!

Sending good thoughts out. My Cassie (LSC) had surgery for the same situation. She did well. Hopefully, your little one will also...

Do you think the happy hut causes her to lay eggs? Cockatiels are very prolific so it isn't recommended to give them happy huts because they view them as nests..I would think some other birds could be the same way.

I hope E makes it out okay!

She doesn't actually go in (and it's not in her flight cage), but I use it for my hospital set-up as a soft place. :) Thanks!
