Hi,
Question ^^.
Sugar cane cups are safe right?
I know you have the brown ones and white ones.
Are the whites ones unsafe?

What exactly are they? Link?

If it’s actual sugar cane or high sugar anything then I wouldn’t allow my bird to have it.

Ohh they’re actual drinking cups? I’ve only seen bamboo ones.
I’ve never seen the ones you have, here sugar cane seems to mainly be used for garden mulch as it’s good ground cover.

If you're ok with giving bleached paper products to your bird made from wood pulp I wouldn't worry about ones made with sugarcane bagasse since they both use chlorine dioxide to whiten. I couldn't find anything with a quick search for biodore, but another company says they use chlorine dioxide to bleach their sugarcane pulp.

If you're really concerned you could try asking the company directly.

But the brown ones aren't bleached right?

It's too uniform a colour for me to say "it's not bleached", but I'm just guessing.

I'd email the company and ask. It's your best chance at an accurate answer.

My avian vet gave the go ahead for us to use sugar cane compostable flatware, so I would be okay with that product.

Asked the company and it is 100% sugar cane fiber. No bleach nothing ^^
