Before I run to vets in a panic I will probably still book one for Tuesday when I am off but are these stress bars or something else like vitamin A deficiency?

Looks like bronzing:) when they play etc the feathers wear and become thinner, and eventually molt out. Babies can be extra rough on their feathers. A vet check never hurts to be sure. The yellow feathers are not very large, maybe he did molt those out? As far as I am aware once a feather grows in it can't change color(except the bronzing that is the wear of the feather)

He looks absolutely stunning:heart::heart::heart:

I agree with the bronzing as well,especially since he is a playful guy.

Thank you he doesn’t roll on his back or anything though but maybe a few on toys are too close to his perches and he likes climbing through his balsa hoop sits with inside it I was thinking he maybe a bit too big for his nutz tunnel too might try rearranging his cage a bit not use to such a big bird

I feel like my green cheek always looked like that lol. She had a habit of rubbing her feathers on toys and squeezing into small areas

Pippen is like that too, always everywhere in her large flight cage so the edges and even the tops of her feathers have black spots and many active birds will have the same thing after beating themselves up playing and rubbing against things.

Aww but at least he was willing!

As for Vitamin A deficiency, there's a whole host of ways it can manifest. I would be surprised with your feeding routines if you had a vitamin A deficiency. Ripley had it and it was much more about his respiratory system.

"Clinical signs are nasal discharge, sneezing, periorbital swelling, conjunctivitis, dyspnea, polyuria and polydipsia, poor feather quality, feather picking, and anorexia. Birds may have absent or blunted papilla of the choanal slit. White plaques (hyperkeratosis) may develop in and around the mouth, eyes, and sinuses. In chronic epithelial conditions (eg, pododermatitis, sinusitis, and conjunctivitis) that have been refractory or recurrent, often vitamin A deficiency is the primary cause. Birds with reproductive disease on poor diets should be considered deficient."
