It was just cute -
I have black-out drapes in the bedroom where the birds sleep, so it is still dark after I get their breakfast and go to wake them.
I always pause outside the partially-open bedroom door and say a cheery "good morning, birdies!" so I don't startle them.
This morning a happy little Hahnsie voice immediately replied " Hi, Guy!"

I bet that made your day. I have those drapes in bedroom but there is an old fashioned street lamp right outside my window that shines in the bedroom through the curtain edges.

It really did!
No such thing as street lights here, but it does face East. So, I use thumbtacks around the outer edges of the drapes, clothespins in the center and command clips along the bottom edge. Otherwise my Goffin would have us up about 4:30am at the height of summer.
