Squeak the baby starling

Today we had to euthanize 10-day old Squeak the baby starling. He had a broken leg beyond mending, and nothing could have helped. he wasn't eating well, he was incredibly thin, and we decided enough was enough and had to end his suffering. Chirp (his sibling) is still healthy and strong, but little Squeak won't be returning back to the nest this time.
