Gosh

I hope him and his siblings are OK. I randomly recalled this thread of a person who had a 7 month old that wouldn't wean. They haven't been active in a while: 7 month old tiel still hasn't weaned... despite all efforts

What was interesting is the bird in question also had a crop infection as a baby. This bird was also underweight. So far I don't think there is any reason for alarm, but I wanted to share the thread since there were some good suggestions in it.

My little man is OBSESSED with corn we've learned! His little corn covered beak in the picture! I'm thinking he's gonna come home next week

hes finally weaned but I want to give him a little longer so he doesn't regress. His cage comes this week and I'm very excited to set it up for him, he's gotten so curious lately and he's definitely a little chomper with his curiousity, hes getting super good at stepping up as well. We did send off a dna test yesterday just because I'm interested.

He really is adorable, I’m glad you decided to get him. After I lost my pionus, I was heartbroken… and the null void of a house without bird noises was an excruciating reminder. I opened my heart to adopting a parrot in need of a home, and enter my CAG Toby. He’s a bit plucky but he is sweet and I’ve had him for twelve years now. My family had a cockatiel since I was eight, I found him outside and he was an integral part of us for TWENTY SEVEN YEARS before he finally passed. I thought it would be a good idea to surprise my mom with another cockatiel… nope. So now I have Toby and Rosie, a now one and a half year old cinnamon cockatiel. She is a total pill! We call her hurricane rosie, affectionately of course. She is very friendly, into everything, will step up onto anyone. An avid flyer and loves to buzz you while also screeching. She’s noisier than my CAG. But anywho, I have both species of birds you want/have and for me it’s worked out just fine.

He's become so curious, i know i said that in the last post, but for real! and I swear he's started looking like an adult overnight. Hes very sweet and loves to fly, i love that when a customer asks to hold a frie fly bird, I take him out and they ask if hes available or if any of the other baby cockatiels are as friendly and not flightly and I have to say no to both

Lately hes loves strangers and flying over to them to say hi, but then he comes bacn after a minute to come sit on my chest or shoulder when hes done saying hi or they annoy him. I'm glad hes become so social because I was concerned he would only like me since he was so clingy.
He loves putting his mouth on anything and everything, and he's in love especially with the calculator up front :laugh:

The other tiel is a sassy little cry baby so that is exactly what he was saying lolol

I am pleased and shocked to announce that my little guy is a little girl!! Me and all my coworkers were convinced she was a he until the results came back today!

I plan on bringing her home tomorrow but now I'm trying to figure out a name that fits her more now!!

She looooovves the cash register, she sat there preening herself for like 10 min straight and got cuddles, after she attacked the keys the whole time before
