So its time to upgrade cages...

I ordered this cage for Porter.
This cage

I'll be giving Gose Porter's old cage as her upgrade.
I'm hoping more space will encourage Porter to move around more and do more.
Do you guys think it is a decent size for a White wing parakeet?

Length and width wise, it is only the same as the standary finch breeding cages. So it would be like stacking 3 on top of each other...

Its also bigger than the cage he has currently which will be going to Gose so we will see what happens.

I think it is too tall. Best cages are wider then they are tall. Also if you have furry pets they can easily got their paws into the cage as it sits so low. A regular sized flight cage is nice. Example

This cage is the same length and width as the original cage in the first post. The first cage /posted by @Porter is taller inside, so will be a bigger cage.

I wouldn't get that one, it's only 16.5 inches wide. I got it before I knew any better

It states 19 in the original and nope no furry critters in my house.
Nothing but feathers and scales :3

However I'd love a wider cage than this one I just don't think they are made D:
I have back problems and so does my husband, lifting the other type of cage just isn't doable, We need the more flimsy style for the weight factor.
I could just go with one that size but thats what he is in pretty much right now anyway.

Exactly. The cage you posted is 0.5inch larger.
Also yours is 55inches tall whereas the one ladyjane posted is only about 30.
I think you have the better size, especially for Porter to be able to cilmb in

And this way Gose gets his 18x28x30 cage.
MOre than twice the size of her current one.
