Heather, he sounds like a typical Hahn's, brilliant, nippy and bossy! :D Mine is the same way, and positive reinforcement training is definitely the way to go. Those little devils just love, love to learn. It's like their minds crave it. And they love praise :) Sounds like you're doing well with him. And I sure am glad you've got him :hug8:

I did that today ;) They kept him clipped in the past so I clipped the first four on each side.

Yeah he definitely needs boundaries. He's so used to having control.
The mini macaws all think they are in control, best to set the boundaries soon.

Oh yeah we worked on it quite a bit today ;) he just wants attention but he's gonna learn boundaries quickly as I'm not intimidated by him. The wife was scared of him and would cower almost when he'd fly over onto her shoulder and I think because of that he thought he had control. Well i guess he really did, huh? Yeah we will put a stop to this ;)
