What do parrotlets like to snack on? So far we’ve tried mealworms (which fate really enjoys) and dried fruit. She seems to eat the fruit when nobody watches, but will eat the mealworms right from your hand. She also gets milet for nutrition purposes. Recently she doesn’t really care much for mealworms since being introduced to dried fruit. Anybody know what could be a favourite snack any reply is welcomed.

Are you looking for something with nutritional value, or just a training treat?

My Mugsey loved his blackberries! Frozen abound thawed. He would go to town on them, and then I would go to town on the windows and walls!

but he sure loved them. Would get one or two depending on size once every 3 days or so! :laughing7:

For training I use both hemp seeds and safflower seeds (I do not have these as part of her normal diet, so no threat of overkill). For a tasty/nutritional treat out of my hand she likes the Lafeber's Avi-Cakes. She likes the avci-cakes out of my hand but doesn't eat them much out of her dish. Lol.

My p'let would only take sunflower seeds for training treat.
For snack he likes broccoli tops, sweet peas, fig, pomegranate, sweet potato etc..

For training treats sesame seeds work wonders. High reward value, healthier than sunflower, and tiny parrotlet serving size :D :)
