Everyone always talks about how intelligent birds are.

While I won’t necessarily call Tteok the sharpest lightbulb in the cookie jar, he is apparently smart enough to train me.

Or manipulative. Whatever.

He had learned that if he sits on the floor of his cage, I will drop everything I’m doing to check on him. So now he does it EVERY. FREAKING. TIME he sees me doing anything that he cannot be out for. Like if I’m cooking and have multiple pots/pans going (because he thinks he needs to “help”).

I have the same issue with Valkyrie! She will purposely climb down to the bottom of the cage and pace to get my attention. I thought she couldn't climb the cage at first...then I pretended not to notice her pacing and she climbed alllll the way back onto her perch...sneaky little buggers.
