Hi!

I wasn't sure where to post this topic, so I thought I'd write it here since it is an ekkie I'm referring to. I've had my male ekkie for about 3 or 4 months now; he's a sweet and wonderful boy. I carry him around on my right arm because I don't allow shoulders (he's been known to bite faces and ears in the past). Because of this, I've got a permanent array of small scratches and scabs on my arms from him gripping me for balance. I've had his claws trimmed, and that helped some, and I got him a concrete perch to file his nails, but his nails are still just damn sharp, and he grips hard. I'm wondering if anybody else with this issue wears a forearm sleeve or some other arm protection? I feel like at this point that would make more sense than filing his nails every couple weeks.

I wear scrub undershirts when I have my birds on me most of the time. They are thin longed sleeved shirts. It’s not because I have scratches or anything, more so because I have sensory processing issues and their nails drive me crazy. I find wearing the shirt not only makes their nails not bother me, but I don’t care if they poop on my old undershirts.
