Sitting in the corner and tail quivering

My bird tends to sit in the corner of his perch, at the opposite side of his toy. Should I move the toy? Is he sick or something else bad? He also takes a lot of naps, at least I think he does. His feathers are poofed up a lot when I come in, and his eyes are closed when that happens. His tail also quivers a lot. I don’t want him to be afraid of me, especially if he’s already learned to stop on my finger.

Have you taken him to see a vet who specializes in avian medicine? Many of the things you describe are symptoms of an illness.

Agreed, he should see a vet. Sitting in the corner, tail quivering, constantly puffed up, not active, these are all signs of sickness. Can you get him to a nearby vet? I’m just worried that if he really is sick that this can go downhill fast.

Definitely do the avian vet visit to get him healthy as that should be priority number one. As SquawksNibbles said things can go downhill fast!

I’ll definitely take him for a check-up as soon as possible. However, I don’t know any avian vets in the area.

I’m in Brampton currently. Also, it seems that there is poop stuck to his “vent”. What can I do about this?
