Shrimp and Goby

This is Shed and Gatekeeper. The fish guards the shrimp burrow in exchange for being able to live in it.This symbiotic relationship also also exists in the wild.

watching their antics highly amuses me. They are very cute together.

Yes it is. I have mainly shrimps and two gobies and a couple of small crabs.

Pistol shrimp and goby is such a tremendous relationship.

How big is your tank ? What gobys do you have they can become problamatic if they are in a small tank together.

We have that goby and a red scooter blenny and that's it. They tend to ignore one another. My mother has been an aquatic hobbyist for over 40 years and has owned everything from fancy Japanese goldfish to horseshoe crab, technically it is her tank so I don't know how many gallons but we have never had an issue between the two of them.
