Hi Y'all!!
I have a one year old Goffins named Frankie, and I am getting her a new cage! The one I have her in is a fine size, but that's really it, fine, not a lot of extra room, and I have always wanted something bigger for her. I just got a new job, that will have me out of the house more, so I've decided to get her a new big, big cage. I got a very sweet, generous gift recently from my grandmother recently, for unrelated reasons, which has allowed by budget to be 1,000 dollar, which is a LOT more than i've ever spent on cages, and I certainly don't need to spend it all!

I'm wondering what you all of your too's in? What do you recommend for a crazy goffins? I'm just soaking up as much info as I can! I'd love to see pictures, and any recommendations are GREATLY appreciated!

Thank you so much from me and Frankie!

What size do you have now so people know what an upgrade would be? :)

I don't have the exact measurements, but it is a California Cage, 3/4" bar spacing... Medium size on the cage scale I guess... Certainly not what I want for her! Sorry for the vagueness, i'm out of town right now so i'm drawing from memory.

Could you search the cages by the manufacturer and eyeball a size? I have this set up for my rose breasted cockatoo, but he's not home yet. Ideally I'd like it bigger.
Are you budgeting for new toys and perches for the cage as well?

Make sure you know the warranty and return policy. Go with a known cage dealer. I researched pretty heavily, missed the recommendation on expandable habitats, went with a well known brand.... approx 3 month old cage, rust. :bash:They do seem to be working with me 3EBC59B7-8764-4625-B3FC-A8B1E13523E2.jpeg A53B1884-AEE9-4ED5-8222-18E5A3F4B1CD.jpeg

I did do that, but California Cages stopped manufacturing awhile back, and I couldn't for the life of me find the model I have! It was aggravating to say the least. I do have some put away for new toys to add with it, but I already have an abundance that I switch out frequently for her current cage, so I won't need to many to fill it up! (I quite like your set up!)

Thank you! It's a 40x30" cage, 1" bar spacing. Since that picture, my husband added another toy and 2 more perches.

With a larger cage, you may decide more perches are necessary. I''m used to stocking 32" cages and this one really caught me off guard with just how many more it needed.

I bought the Kings macaw cage for gonzo a couple months ago and it’s huge! It gives him a lot of room to climb around and also more room for toys. I think it’s 64x32 and the height is 70in.
