Good day! I have a few pairs of parrotlets:) one of my females has laid infertile eggs, I have never witnessed or heard them mating. The other pair either.
I don’t think either of my pairs are really into each other, they don’t fight but they don’t mate either, my question is…. Should I switch up my pairs?

*Is it breeding season? And only if yes ---
*Are the receivving a rich diet to promote breeding?
*Is there at least 12 hours of daylight?
*Are they old enough for hormones to be locked in?
*Are they young enough to still breed?
*Are they healthy?

This is the time of year my original pair started breeding naturally, from what I read parrotlets don’t have a breeding season, but yes I do remove the box and give them a break
I believe I feed them well, they get fresh chop daily and some real eggs mixed with egg food? Plus the seed mix
They get 13 hours of light, my lights go on at 7 and go off at 8
They all look very healthy and they are between 2-3 years away old .
I do appreciate any advice and I do respect amd realize that breeding birds is not just something you throw together :)

Okay! Sounds like you have all the bases covered.
There are breeding supplements, they have vitamin E and I’m not sure what else. You could try that.
Yes if they will accept the change you could try to switch them. If they’re bonded they won’t like it. Just watch out; they can really fight.
I have a male that never has bonded to a girl. He thinks he’s a human.
