Tiki is always looking for a spot to lay eggs, and not just during her hormonal times. Would it be harmful to just give in and let her lay a couple of eggs?

It is not advised and should be discouraged.

Letting her lay eggs now is just going to encourage her to lay more eggs in the future, and unless she's in very good heath and physical shape (and even then) it can be dangerous for her. Making sure the flight muscles are in good shape is especially important since they help expel the egg.

You can discourage it but if she really wants to lay an egg theirs not much you can do to stop it. Even with no nesty places they will find a place to have them if that's what they want to do.
