Should I get my budgie a new friend?

My budgie was best friends with my green cheek conure but sadly he passed away on March 10. At first my budgie hasn’t shown signs of mourning for him but she just seems so bored and I wanted to know if/when should I get her another friend.

Sorry to hear of your loss.

Yes, when you both have had time to mourn, I think your budgie would benefit from another budgie. If you post pictures of your budgie's face, some of the people here can help with advising about male/ female budgies.

Not an expert, but looks female to me, which means you'd ideally need a male.

Yep, she's a girl. As already mentioned a male would be a good choice as 2 females may not get on well together. Personally I'd be looking for a mature male rather than a very young bird. Older budgies can "tolerate" young chicks but may turn bully on them. If you have any rescues near you you can start your search there.
