Sexing a mauve baby

Hi all! We have a green young parrotlet who was easy to sex as a male but we have just brought home a mauve baby who is 3 and half months old but was wondering how you tell if they are male or female? The breeder said as he/she gets older we would be able to tell on how dark or light they get. Not sure if this true. Any advice would be great!

Just so sweet! I cannot tell you how to sex that mutation color. I can only really see the colors of the pieds, greens etc with the blue eye streak.

Hi, baby is beautiful! Check out talkparrotlets.com. Maybe someone there can help you as I remember seeing one with that colouring. Someone there or here should be able to help...
