Blinky and Spring refuse to eat vegetables and fruits if they are mixed with anything else. Meaning no chop, no mixed veggies, no chunks with pellets; it has to be on its own. They are like picky children. It makes it hard to give them vegetables because I have to clip to the side of the cage, can't put it in with pellets or make chop. I have a separate food bowl but oddly enough they won't eat veg or fruit out of that either. And I'm pretty sure that nobody else has this problem because almost everyone feeds chop. Bleh.

Do you feed them seeds as their main diet?

You don't want to mix chop with food anyway as it gets it wet & you want to remove the chop after a few hours etc.

If you think mixing seeds with chop will make them try to eat it you can try but they are very good at pickin out what they want but least they will get a taste for it.

Have you tried a bowl of peas & corn? You just have to watch them to see how they like things & keep experimenting

If they like lettuce or veggies pinned to side of cage just offer pieces that way & don't chop it all up.

I offer fruits & veggies in a seperate cup. For Penny I place the cup on a platform perch on her door so its easy for me to have access to it. TRy a few ways & keep trying to see what you can get them to eat.

I would prefer it if my little ones would eat like that.
I spend ages chopping up veggies into little lovie sized pieces :faint:

I don’t really mind how they eat it, but it’d be a lot easier if they’d eat stuff mixed, then I’d be able to give more variety instead of one food at a time.
I wouldn’t mix chop with pellets or seeds, I’d put a chunk of vegetable on top of their pellets. So I could take it out easily.

No they eat pellets.

Yeah that’s what I do.

What if you start offering slightly smaller things everyday, then when it´s a smaller chunk you can offer a couple of different things.
Maybe try to aim to get them comfortable with a skewer. Then you can make mixed veggie skewers for them to pick at :)
