Hello, and please help if you can.

Our 21 y/o Senegal, Buster has an injured toe, but shows no signs of distress. It is a bit swollen and dark compared to the other toes; it is also limp. It appears that it may fall-off, but am not sure. There is no binding of thread or any other foreign body. Can someone suggest a form of action or has anyone experienced this with an older bird?

Many thanks.

Matt

Have it looked at, I know the injured digit can and will self amputate,,, but, some pain meds/anti-inflammatory, and/ or antibiotics would be beneficial.

Sorry about the injury to Buster but good that he is OK. Great that you found an Avian vet that you like.
