Another one of those "Acccidental" fires that some how clear land perfect for development in the middle of a rainy forest that won't be there in 5 years time.

Deforestation is so sad. Historical accounts show we are missing forests all over the world. Europe is thought to've been deforested over 1,000 years ago. Some scientists think humans have influenced climate change for much longer than previously thought. Deforestation is more recent so much better documented in North America.

Those birds look sad. Now I'm sad. Hyacinth macaws are one of my favourite parrots. They look like they're made out of play dough, but are real, which makes them fantastic. & their lesser known neighbours would be suffering too. Other animals, insects, plants that can't run.
