We gave our conure a seed stick this morning and he’s already destroyed half of it. But it seems most of it is just crumbling apart and falling to the bottom of the cage. Compared to how much he could actually be eating of it, it seems like an awful waste. But he does love pecking at it and breaking it apart, and I know it’s good for his beak and foraging trait. Would it be better to try loose seeds in a dish?

Foraging can be a single treat wrapped in plain paper. A nut, a favorite treat.

You can use paper cups and cut holes on them, out treats inside. Foraging is looking for food, working their mind and keeping them busy.

Find toys you can hide treats in. Many vendors here have great tips and toys that will enrich your little guy.
