At 2:45 pm today, we put Tinkerbell down (we called her Stinkers). We finally made the decision it was time; she was always wandering around the house unsure of where she was, even crying because she would get lost (even if she was standing right in front of us), collapsing while she was going to the bathroom which resulted in her getting several baths a day- she was rarely warm and dry, and the biggest factor of it all was she could hardly eat anymore. Her arthritis had gotten so bad her jaw would clamp closed, and eating was the only thing that was making her happy.
We made sure she got to try all the foods she wanted to, she got pizza, Reese's peanut butter cups, and lots of other snacks my little siblings wanted to give her.
I just can't believe she's gone. She's been there since I was a baby, she turned 19 last month. It's unbelievable.
She was such an amazing dog. She would walk me to my room every night to say goodnight until she wasn't able to walk very well anymore (which only started a few months ago), she was super cuddly, always wanting kisses.
Until next time, Stinkerbell
