Scientific backup of how much seed?

Does anyone have any studies or articles about how much seed ekkies need to eat/do best on? We know so little about their diet and ik theres not a lot of ekkie people left on AA but if anyone has any leads that would be great.

I usually make an entirely different chop for the ekkies (well i send my dad the recipe since he has them, and i have a foster ekkie rn) with calculated extra certain nutrients etc. Mel and basil eat a tbsp of harrisons maybe once or twice month, new foster boy Roy is used to pellets so he still gets some. I also mix in a small amount of lorikeet nectar once a week into chop.

Ive had my ekkies for years and I still cannot find any actual evidence of any seed they need. I usually mix in a tbsp about once a week in their chop, but for instance my cockatiel gets it mixed into hers everyday.

Any leads would be so helpful!

My sister always had seed available for her Eccie but he did not touch it much. He really was a fruit, beries and nuts kind of bird.
Which is what we would expect.

Nuts should be sparing like seed for ekkies from what i know. Definitely fruit heavy vs other parrots

He was offered nuts as they eat them in the wild - but yes - sparingly.

This is probably one of those instances where we are still learning stuff unfortunately. I know Volkman makes an Eclectus seed blend, but I am sure that is more marketing than research.
