I had an African gray named Sassy for 26 years. He was 31 years old when he passed this Christmas. I feel it may have been a heart attack because he was passed away within four minutes of falling off of his perch in my arms. Our vet said he looked healthy as always. He was my everything. I had him for more than half of my life. I had him longer than my daughter‘s been born. He was a hoot, and he made every day filled with fun even when he was crabby. My biggest thing that I want to find out is his hatch date.
with the information that I found 1 - 2 Tweet was where he was hatched or banded at. They are no longer in business (i’ve tried every contact that I can find online with no response), but I would like to know if anybody has a way to find out any information whether it’s from the owner or a prior employer or someway. His band number was 12T FL 612.
The craziest part when you lose your bird is the quietness. You don’t have that background noise anymore. My house is has other animals in it, but none the same as a feathered friend.
