My boyfriend brought home Kale from his sisters, and Fresh Corn and home grown Millet from his moms Last night So today we made them a Salad

not the most colorful or prettiest of foods But they enjoy it

The Salad - Kale, Kale Stocks broken up in different sizes, Fresh corn cut off the cob, and Home Grown Millet(didn't grow big but its just the right size for our birds)

Then a couple pics of a couple of the birds enjoying it - Sorry for poor lights - these cages are in front of a window and hard to get the flash to go off LOL

First Andy - he actually went to the CAGE FLOOR TO EAT! (first time he's gone willingly to the floor)

the view from the top of his cage

then I opened the door

then the girl tiels & the 4 babies

then a couple of the budgies

The sure were chowin down. Okay, this may be totally stupid of me, but home grown millet??? I guess I never thought about just exactly what millet is. Can you enlighten me please.

we take a flower pot and dirt and then take a spray millet break the pieces off(the same pieces the birds break off and eat) and push it down in to the dirt - just like you'd plant any seed And grow it

Ours never made it past looking like grass, But his moms got small "heads" of spray millet on it :)

And thank you almost all the birds devoured it so it wasn't a total waste :D
