Runny eye?

I woke tweety up this morning & she looks to have a runny eye? Like how someone looks when they start to cry & go to blink & you can see the extra water in their eye. I've tried to take pictures of it but she won't sit still :(

She'll open her eye but then she'll squint her eye a lot of the time. Her vet already closed today...

I was already planning on taking her sometime this week to get her nails trimmed, I just need to call them. Is she sick?? Do I need to get her in to see him asap??

She might have a sinus infection. Do you have any vets open over there on Sunday? (I know most tend to be closed on Sundays...)

Could be she also bumped her eye or otherwise irritated it and the eye is trying to flush it.

Would it still be trying to flush it 6-7 hours later?

I feel like a horrible bird mom for not noticing it earlier :sad11:

It depends :( I would definitely call the vet when you can and ask their thoughts

They open at 8am & I'll be calling them first thing. Hopefully they can get us in :sad1:
Called the vet & they don't have any bird doctors in today :sad11: we have an appointment for her tomorrow at 3pm..... I looked up all of the other vets in town that do birds & they are either closed already or none of their bird doctors are in today....

Tips on keeping Tweety comfortable today until we can get in tomorrow? :(

Just keep her warm and make sure she's still eating and drinking.

Well the vet has no clue of what it could be..... or if she had just bumped her eye or gotten something in it. so he gave us some eye drops with antibiotics in them called Ofloxacin ophthalmic solution 0.3% to put in her eye 2 times a day for 10-14 days to see if we can get rid of whatever this is & if it gets worse then call him

but now she's dancing, chirping, & swinging her head around. she's getting back to her normal self

Here's some pictures of her 10 minutes after we had put the first drop in

I hope they help her real fast, it’s horrible seeing them under the weather.
