We have just booked a holiday to Cornwall! Just for the weekend in a couple of weeks, only 3 nights, but i definately need a break!
I have got a neighbour coming in each day to feed the others, but obviously Ruby's dietary requirements are rather specialist, so she is coming with me! Currently harness training her so she can come out to the beach when we walk the dogs, so she can have a fly around
And I have just bought her this from my local parrot shop:
Dog Cages, dog crate also large pet dog car cages/crate carriers
It is identical, except mine has built in feeders, they dont attach the the bars like the one shown in the picture. Its great though, folds flat so it will fit in the car (taking all the dogs too so not gonna be much room!) and is big enough that it can be a temporary home for her while we're away. I'm going to start getting her used to it now so its not a shock to get when she goes into it, but she's so chilled out i dont think she'll be bothered!!
Anyway, has anyone else taken their birds on holiday? Any tips or advice? We're renting a cottage so it will be very "homey" for her
