but this has confused me.
For ages I have believed our Batman is a girl but the male is the first bird feeding the young. He has a big fanned out tail with white on either side like Romeo ( batmans wild visitor ) mummy bird who flies in is duller in colour and doesnt appear to have that white fan part to her tail. Batman though is growing white on either side of the tail ... I have always said as I have no intention of breeding I wont bother finding out with batman but this is starting to drive me nuts LOL
all that said Batman does have the white stripe under the wing that females are supposed to have and maybe its just the way that daddy bird landed that his tail fanned out?
