Robin Update-New Problem

Boys being boys....my son came down the morning and attempted to feed the robin a worm. He yelled up to me that the bird was moving around and standing up on its one uninjured leg and just as I yelled down to close the box the robin flew out and is now perching in my family room on the ceiling fan. Now that it can fly should I just release it? Ive closed the shades and opened all my doors hoping it will fly out. Any suggestions?

Yes, but I got it and brought it to Tufts Wildlife Rehab so Im all set. Thanks.

Wow, he sounds like Robin Hood. I'm glad you were able to get him to the rehabers. Thanks for being so concerned and doing the right thing.
