This morning my chicken Kiki passed. I noticed three days ago that she appeared lethargic and very sick. She was very thin, and it seemed that she hadn't been eating much. I gave her mealworms because that was the only thing she'd eat, and put apple cider vinegar in her water as instructed by a vet, who thought she may have had parasitic worms. I couldn't bring her to the vet in person because of covid. That night I had to place her in the chicken coop because she wasn't moving much, and the next morning she wouldn't eat anything. I had to give her water/acv from a dropper and feed her mash from a syringe. She was still refusing so I had to force feed her with the help of a family member. She stayed inside the chicken coop because she wouldn't come out on her own. She began to eat a bit more yesterday, so things were looking up. But early this morning I came in and...
So now my total chicken count is down to six. I just hope she wasn't contagious, at least none of my other hens have shown any symptoms.
