IRN aren't sexually mature until nearly 3 years of age. However each bird will blossom in their own way, some are earlier. In the wild IRN don't normally have their first successful clutch until they are around 7 years old. This doesn't mean they are trying prior, but it is very challenging to raise chicks out in the big world and new parents don't have a harsh learning curve. In captivity they can have clutches younger, but I find it interesting to compare to wild counterparts.
Now just because they are sexually mature around 3, doesn't mean they won't start experimenting and exploring boundaries. 1 year is still a pretty young baby, but keep your eye out for triggers and start learning what excites your bird. As they do get older you will want to reduce these triggers.
