I know you can not see too well. However Boris is swinging from the top of his cage on a rope toy I made, hanging upside down and squealing/flapping. Its his happy noise! Though it makes me think he is stuck every single time...I have to look just to be sure...:embarassed:

Tiki Bird does the exact same squeal! Usually when he is completely overstimulated and playing hard with something. :bliss:

Boris sounds so happy!

Honestly I LOVE the galah squeal! Some people may find it grating, but I think it's cute and hilarious. And volume-wise, it really is a lot more bearable than some other toos' screams. Unless Boris screamed directly in my ear it never made my ears ring.

I just find it funny because I have one who quacks more then squawks, and now one who squeals...I dont have a typical sounding bird in the house! :laughing6:

Yeah, I don't know -- maybe my ears are just extra resistant to galah frequencies and pitch. But his noises rarely if ever bothered me. It only got tiresome if he carried on for a while, which he usually didn't.

Do you have a video of Ducky quacking? lol!

No. I have tried. He hates the phones so much that the moment he sees one he stops everything he is doing...I have been trying since I got him!:ashamed3:

That is a very typical galah call, we hear it all of the time when the wild ones are around, they are usually happily flying or playing when they do it.
Call me crazy but I love it :bounce4: I also get really excited when I hear the black cockatoos call out, it has to be one of the most eerie but wonderful parrot calls.
