We are getting a baby CBC to be her friend. I know we need to quatantine Cherry Blossom (the CBC) before introducing them, and then house them separately until they get used to each other. I was hoping for some tips for quarantining and introducing Cherry Blossom. We live in a one-bedroom apartment, so we only have 2 rooms.

They should be kept in separate rooms. Wash your hands between handling them each, and change your clothes too if you have them on you etc. before interacting with the other one. Congrats on your new birdie.

As soon as you bring that bird into the same air space the quarantine is effectively broken.

That's one thing I don't fully understand about people with pet birds doing a quarantine. Not many people have a separate building/air space to quarantine a bird in. So should everyone just stick to single birds? Not trying to say quarantine is bad - just genuinely confused.

Germs can be spread by central air, but it may help to cut off air vents in quarantined area. You can't totally cut off spread of germs but trying to is better than nothing.

Even though as John says your birds are sharing the same air space as soon as you are bringing the new bird into the same house there are things you can do for a "quarantine" period of 30-90 days ...keeping them apart ..in separate rooms ...cleaning ..feeding watering ..everything you do for the new lil one should be last ..and hands washed after :)

I agree, the only way to successfully quarantine is a separate air space. To make it really effective, changing clothes and showering body.
You can keep in separate rooms and cages and washing hands and that would help prevent issues with diseases that require contact. However all the airborne diseases are still an issue. Making the whole thing moot

^^ and change shoes. People forget the shoes and track germs.
