image.jpg I was thinking about making a gourmet birdie dinner tonight, and I remembered we have some pumpkin purée from thanksgiving.
It is pure pumpkin (not the pie mix). Is it safe to use? :)
Also, tofu?

Feed Table Foods To Pet Birds In Moderation
"Tofu, too, can be a problem for birds. “In some species, it can cause gastrointestinal problems like cheese does,” said Larry Nemetz, DVM, an exotics-only veterinarian in Southern California. Also, because tofu is high in protein, it can be hard on a bird’s kidneys."

I'd skip it.

Pumpkin puree is one of my birds' favorite foods! I put it in everything I bake for them I think :p

As for tofu, there is varying opinions on giving it to birds. If they are eating pellets, they likely are already eating soy, and too much of a good thing can certainly be bad for them. I personally would skip it, too.
