Ptfe in high-speed blenders?

I recently found out that many high speed blenders such as Vitamix contain ptfe/Teflon as a slippery material to reduce friction from the spinning blades. While not intended as a heating element, these blenders advertise that they can heat up enough to produce a steaming blender of soup. Has anyone heard of any bird fatalities caused by overheated ptfe from these blenders?

Gosh they sneak it into everything, don't they?!

I personally avoid PTFE and PFOA completely. It is not worth the risk IMO. I don't want to be the first person to learn the hard way!

As far as a vita mix, it can't heat liquid contents enough to create steam from the action of the blades. The motor is magnetic, and any motor can get too hot.

As for hot enough to cause the off gasing... I have no idea. You can ignite grain dust easily, so making flour requires resting to cool down and continuing if you need it finer.
